Pikes Peak Romance Writers


PPRW is the Chapter 71 of Romance Writers of America®.

 It's a non-profit organization which meets to exchange market news, writing tips, and provide support and encouragement to members.

Both published and unpublished writers are welcome with the understanding that the focus is -- and shall remain -- on writing romantic fiction.

 
All meetings are held in north Colorado Springs at the Falcon Branch Police Sub Station near Academy and I-25 from 2-4PM  unless otherwise specified.

Please do not contact the police station for meeting information as they will not be able to help you.

New for 2012: PUSH to the Finish Program--launnching for our January meeting! Our head writing motivator Sue Longsdorf says: 
"Okay, as a member of PPRW and RWA, you are not alone to motivate yourself to write. There's 10,000 writers willing for you to success; you have 30+ cheerleaders in your backyard. AND, there's the Push To The Finish program beginning on January 29, 2012. But why wait? Write something today. And then write something tomorrow. And the day after. And the day after that. And..."

If you are a new member, old member, or thinking about joining us, this year is a perfect time to give your writing a supportive push. 
It' not to late. You can still join Push to the Finish this year.

Pikes Peak Romance Writers is located in Colorado Springs and made up of a respected group of romance authors dedicated to achieving fulfillment in our writing careers.

Why a Get Together and not a regular meeting you wonder?  With the holiday weekend falling on our traditional meeting weekend of the fourth Sunday of the month, we have decided to try something a little non-traditional.  Why be normal?  Let's be ourselves. ;)
 
So, bring your paper and pen or laptop or Ipad or AlphaSmart...or whatever it is you use to capture your amazing words and join us for a time of inspiration, sharing of ideas, brainstorming, critiquing and/or socializing.
 
Whatever it is you might need or want to share, let's take a nice, slow morning to do just that.

Featured Local Pikes Peak RWA Author: Cindi Madsen is an amazing writer, a multi signed author and a great teacher. She has never pitched a book or queried without getting some sort of request. (Though she says her return is around 70% on queries.) She's a marketing maven in every way and is one of our many authors you will meet at Pikes Peak RWA meetings. 

Cindi Says: I'm a writer. I sit at my computer every chance I get, plotting, revising, and falling in love with my characters. Sometimes this makes me a crazy person. Without it, I'd be even crazier. I have way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they're sparkly, colorful, or super tall. I live in Colorado with my husband and three children.
